KymWhitleyRaised in both Khartoum, Sudan and Cleveland, Ohio, introduced to the world by Hollywood, California, Kym E. Whitley is a hilarious, skilled, dynamic, quadruple-threat actress, producer, director and stand-up comedienne. After a lot of scene stealing, Kym became a staple on television, guest starring on such popular programs as “Grey’s Anatomy,” HBO’s “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” “The Boondocks,” and Fox’s most recent smash “The Cleveland Show.” In addition, Kym created and co-hosted her own evening talk show entitled “Oh Drama.” In 2012, Whitley was a regular on the NBC show, “Animal Practice” and Adult Swim “Black Dynamite.” Her newest project is airing this fall on the OWN Network, “Raising Whitley.”

Kym’s film credits are vast. She is an in-demand player, starring alongside some of Hollywood’s elite such as Johnny Depp, Jennifer Aniston, Martin Lawrence, Jim Carrey, Ice Cube, and Eddie Murphy in such box office hits as “Next Friday”, “Nutty Professor II: The Klumps”, “Baby Boy”, I love you Man, “Deliver Us from Eva”, “Along Came Polly”, “The Perfect Man”, “Fun With Dick and Jane”, “College Road Trip”, “Black Dynamite”,“Rango” and the 2012 release with Matt Damon, “We Bought A Zoo”. In addition to her television and film appearances, Kym performs side splitting stand-up routines throughout the world. Simultaneously, she owns and operates Kwick Whit Productions and has produced several projects including “Love Chronicles”, “Cruising for Love with Kym Whitley”, and the new feature length film “35 and Ticking”.

Charity work is a must, in this busy actresses’ life. She donates her time and talent to as many fund raisers that her schedule allows. Kym focuses her time on HBCUs (Historically Black Colleges and Universities), women shelters, victim’s rights and anything having to do with children. In 2001, Whitley started her own Non-Profit called, Comics 4 Kids, which she has used to host toy drives during Christmas and Celebrity basketball games on the East Coast. She is a proud graduate of Fisk University. With all this talent, it comes as no surprise that Kym Whitley has proven that hard work with perseverance, equals longevity.
